Margaret Thatcher Dies After Stroke

Britain's first and only female prime minister Margaret Thatcher has died peacefully following a stroke at the age of 87.

Lord Bell said: "It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning.

"A further statement will be made later."

Baroness Thatcher, Britain's first and only woman prime minister, had become increasingly frail and was suffering ill health in recent years.

She was admitted to hospital shortly before Christmas where she underwent an operation to remove a growth from her bladder but was allowed to return home before new year.

I'm not sorry to see Her go at all...

I get sick and tired of hearing the mainstream media report on this "devil in disguise"...giving her the title of Baroness and a state funeral.

Of course Canada has PM Chairman Harper running off like "a little Pushkin" to attend the state funeral event and shake hands with the Queen if she deigns to blink at him....

I'm sorry when anyone dies. I don't know a lot about Margaret Thatcher -- so perhaps I should do some research. She seemed to be a fan of Adam Smith -- so perhaps I should study the two -- side by side. I just don't seem to have the time or energy to do what I think I should be doing. It's always been that way. BTW -- rumour has it that Bill Clinton nearly had a heart-attack after having a stroke in the Oval Office...
