Post  Floyd Fri Oct 19, 2012 7:46 am

Frequenters to the various conspiracy boards online may think that all conspiracy theories are valid but how many of them are hatched as propaganda for libertarians, right wing anarchists, and ultra conservative groups including Christian fundamentalists rather than having any basis in reality?

Its odd how many conspiracy theories centre exclusively around America and American politics isnt it? Perhaps they realise the many impressionable minds on forums and glued to youtube for their daily knowledge intake, provide good hunting grounds.

Ever Wonder Where the Extreme Right's Conspiracy Theories and Paranoid Rumors Get Started? Meet WorldNetDaily

"News company" WorldNetDaily has pumped out staggering volumes of froth and nonsense, which then spreads to the rest of the Right's media echo chamber.
October 10, 2012 |

WorldNetDaily (WND) describes itself as “an independent news company dedicated to uncompromising journalism, seeking truth and justice and revitalizing the role of the free press as a guardian of liberty.” The online newspaper, which this year celebrated its 15th year in operation, is one of the “very few sources” martial artist and action film hero Chuck Norris (who happens to be a columnist) trusts for news and an operation that megachurch pastor Greg Laurie (also a columnist) says does “a service to God and Country.”

WND is the brainchild of Joseph Farah, a self-described “radical” and longtime antigovernment propagandist and apologist for the Confederacy who believes “cultural Marxists” are plotting “to transform our political system, to change the way we think, to attack our values, to demean our faith in God, to reduce that shining city on the hill to the status of a drab public-housing project.”

Together with a coterie of antigovernment “Patriots,” anti-gay activists, white nationalists, Muslim-bashers, conspiracy theorists, end-times prophets and ultraconservative hardliners, Farah — who did not respond to requests to be interviewed for this article — has built WND into a modest media empire including a book imprint, an online subscription-only “intelligence resource,” and a glossy, full-color monthly magazine. At press time, Alexa, which ranks websites, said WND was the 1,832nd most popular website in the world and the 423rd in the U.S. — just above the site for Nickelodeon and a few notches below Victoria’s Secret.

WND’s point of view is best described as a cross between the now-defunct supermarket tabloid Weekly World News , which was famous for reporting on Elvis sightings, and The New American, a monthly magazine published by the far-right, conspiracist John Birch Society. In its 15 years online, it has introduced readers to a smorgasbord of bizarre ideas, specializing in anti-gay, anti-Muslim, and anti-liberal propaganda; antigovernment conspiracy theories; and end-times prophecy.

It featured a six-part series claiming (falsely) that soybean consumption causes homosexuality and promoted Scott Lively’s vile opus The Pink Swastika, which says that gays were behind the Holocaust. It has identified the first “leftist” as Satan, and declared that Muslims have a “20-point plan for conquering the United States by 2020.” It has warned of secret plans to create a North American Union, advised readers to invest all their assets in gold, and promoted myriad, if conflicting, theories about when and how the world will end.

Its most enduring claim, by far, is that President Obama is constitutionally ineligible to serve as president because he supposedly is not a “natural-born” U.S. citizen.

WND’s stable of writers includes “birther” conspiracist Jerome Corsi; Bob Unruh, a former Associated Press reporter who once sued his fifth-grade daughter’s school after it forbade her to distribute promotional materials for his wife’s “vacation bible school”; black neo-secessionist Walter E. Williams, who in a 2002 WND column wrote that the Civil War was an unconstitutional exercise of “federal abuse and usurpation;” and a panoply of other far-right and ultraconservative voices.

The online paper is also a launching pad for a new generation of extremists. Kevin DeAnna, founder of the white nationalist student group Youth for Western Civilization, was recently hired as marketing coordinator. DeAnna, 29, also has written articles for WND — including one that asserted that Earth Day falls on April 22 in order to honor Lenin’s birthday. Another young pundit who benefits from WND’s patronage is Jason “Molotov” Mitchell, 33, a self-declared “Christian Supremacist” who wants his co-religionists to reject “effeminized American Christianity” and start “advancing the Kingdom on earth.”

Farah shares those sentiments. “I don’t think the Scriptures teach us to passively wait for God to take care of the world. We are taught to occupy until he comes,” he wrote in his 2003 book, Taking America Back. “Don’t you think He wants us to reestablish the promises of America — one nation under God born of a creed?

There's a hoax going around that the health care reform act HR3200 (The Affordable Care Act, aka "Obamacare") requires everyone to get a chip implanted in their body.

This has already been quite well debunked
The bottom line is:
The proposed law did not require anyone to get anything implanted
It just created a national registry of a huge of range of medical devices from pacemakers to dental implants
The intent of the registry was to collect statistics on how safe and effective the devices are
HR3200 is not the bill that passed. That's HR 3590, which does not have the registry.

Ron Paul attracts advocacy of Christian fundamentalists who advocate death penalty for gays as per Rev G Kaiser. Later removed from Paul's website.

"Ron Paul Wants The State Of Texas To Make It Illegal To Be Gay!"

The interviewee suggests he may be attracting crackpot views. But is he being radical to attract fringe votes?

Is Paul really a Libertarian per se if he is advocating states can have a local self determining governmental remit?

How Right-Wing Libertarians, John Birchers and Conspiracy Freaks Are Trying to Hijack the Occupy Movement
The Occupy movement's evolving agenda is in danger of being sullied by association with neo-Nazi David Duke and antigovernment crusader Ron Paul.

January 24, 2012 |

"End the Fed" signs, and other Ron Paul-inspired sloganeering have been a staple of Occupy encampments from the birth of the movement. To an extent, that reflects the Occupiers' diversity of ideas. But Paul, who wrote a book called End the Fed in 2009, has a spotty reputation among champions of social justice, which was made worse this week with the release of another round of racist, homophobic and anti-Semitic comments excerpted from a newsletter he published throughout the 1980s.

At many Occupy encampments, “End the Fed” signs are everywhere, and Paul supporters are becoming more and more vocal — using the language of the Occupy movement in service of their extremist anti-government agenda.

For the most part cooler (and more progressive) heads prevail, but to a certain extent in the movement, anger at Wall Street and its bankers is morphing into anger at the Federal Reserve and international “banksters” — a term long popular among libertarians, John Birchers and the armed right-wing Patriot Movement.

The Occupy movement’s evolving agenda is in danger of being sullied by association with Paul, whose position includes at its core a conspiracy theory involving the Federal Reserve — a decades-old right-wing bugaboo. On the web, a crucial battleground in the era of the online revolution, the Occupy Movement’s central critique of the obscene power of corporations is in danger of being slapped way off course. Ron Paul supporters dominated the conversation in the public forum on OccupyWallSt.org, the movement’s unofficial Web site, throughout the fall. A December post on the forum complained about the Paul-partisan spammers, and warned against forging an alliance with “Wall Street's religious fanatics, the libertarians, espousing their predatory free-market religion.”

A few weeks ago, the forum’s anonymous moderator finally banned Paul’s supporters from propagandizing:

“We do not support an election campaign for 2012. At all. We have removed election material for Obama, Paul, Warren, Paul, Cain, Paul, Perry, Paul, the green party, Paul, Nader, Paul, and did I mention Paul?”

At the same time, the forum mod announced a ban of “conspiracy theories, including any attempt to spam material by David Icke, Lyndon LaRouche, David Duke or Alex Jones.”

But elsewhere on the web, the Occupy message is being shanghaied by radical libertarians, Tea Partiers and worse.

On Martin Luther King Day, as the Occupy the Dream marchers were on the move in 13 cities, I Googled “Occupy Federal Reserve,” and the first result was a link to Infowars, a Web site run by Alex Jones, a Texas-based wingnut radio host. Jones, a longtime Ron Paul supporter, believes that the government staged both the World Trade Center attacks and the Oklahoma City bombings; that the Gates Foundation is a eugenics operation; and that the government has been taken over by agents of the New World Order who are planning to release a cancer-causing monkey virus.

Since the Occupy protests began, Jones, whom Rolling Stone has labeled “the most paranoid man in America,” has added a wrinkle to his shtick, ranting and blogging relentlessly on behalf of OWS and the 99 percent, while threading attacks on the 1 percent into his vitriolic rants. He also began to call (loudly) for the Occupy protesters to turn their attention to the Fed. Apparently it has become his chief mission to embrace — and be embraced by — the Occupy movement. His gambit may be working.

While Occupy the Fed appears to be largely a creation of Jones and other right-leaning libertarians, it is having some success weaving itself into the fabric of the movement. The Facebook page “Occupy Federal Reserve” contains status updates from thousands of Friends apparently affiliated with the mainstream Occupy movement. It also contains hundreds of updates posted by radical libertarians and wack-job conspiracy freaks. Days after launching, @OccupyFederalReserve posted a link to the 2007 documentary Zeitgeist, which claims to prove that 9/11 was orchestrated as a pretext for the creation of a police state, that the Fed and the IRS are criminal enterprises and, by the way, that Jesus Christ did not exist.

The talented musician Matt Bellemy of neo progressive rockers Muse tells UK paper about how his is unhappy about his music being hijacked by ultra right wing, politically motivated conspiracy theorists, in this specific instance, refusing Glen Beck and political activists to use their song 'Uprising' in campaigns and rallies.

He clearly isnt the only one horrified to understand that conspiracy media and spokespersons have used the medium to further the cause of right wing anarchy and corporate fascism.

Muse: US rightwing conspiracy theorists tried to hijack our music

Matt Bellamy tells the Observer that his band turned down requests from political right to use the single Uprising in rallies

'In the US, conspiracy theory subculture has been hijacked by the right to try and take down Obama' … Matt Bellamy of Muse

Muse have revealed the extent to which US politicians and political pundits have attempted to appropriate their music. In an interview to be published in the Observer on Sunday, singer Matt Bellamy discusses Fox News presenter Glenn Beck's embrace of their 2009 album The Resistance and the use of their hit single Uprising in rightwing conspiracy videos on YouTube.

"In the US the conspiracy theory subculture has been hijacked by the right to try to take down people like Obama and put forward rightwing libertarianism," Bellamy said. Defining himself as "a left-leaning libertarian – more in the realm of Noam Chomsky," he added: "Uprising was requested by so many politicians in America for use in their rallies and we turned them down on a regular basis."

Bellamy added that when writing lyrics, his motives are more therapeutic than polemical. "When I dabble in watching the news and reading about current events I tend to get a future negative view and that's something I've dealt with through music," he said. "It's quite possible I'm slightly paranoid. But I'd say making music is an expression of feelings of helplessness and lack of control that I think a lot of people can relate to."

Conservative pundit Beck is a long-standing fan of the Devon band, despite their labelling him previously as "a crazy rightwinger".

A view on the ultra conservative-Christian Fundementalist extreme right

Fascists in Christian Clothing

In Fascists in Christian Clothing, the sequel to Is America Nuts?, Dr. Stanley Warlib is back, and he's discovered a melding of evangelical Christians, Moonies, and Conservatives to bring about a fascist state right here in the United States. Banding together in a web of interlocking and interconnected organizations, these architects of American society believe that America is a cesspool and that salvation lies in taking back America for Christ. Three things stand in the way of ushering in the Kingdom of God to America: liberals, black-robed judges, and the secular government. Dr. Warlib, suffering from the rare delusional disorder folie à deux, uses a radio show, to reveal to listeners that all roads of this Fascist conspiracy lead to the Council on National Policy (CNP). CNP members control corporations involved in print, television, and radio that relentlessly propagandize against the evils of liberals, the judiciary, and the secular government. Dr. Warlib faces the disturbing realization that the vast right-wing conspiracy is following Hitler's Fascist model and is indoctrinating the American electorate to accept the Fascist state through Christianity. Victory for the Council seems to be in hand until Dr. Warlib intervenes and attempts to separate the Fascist head from the evangelical body.

Ultra Conservative Spawned Conspiracy Theories. Empty Pam Geller and the far right

Post  Floyd Wed Oct 24, 2012 8:59 am

The darling of the ultra right conspiracy spawning rag WorldNetdaily mentioned above is the infamous Pamela Geller. She has a regular spot with them.

Geller was at one time behind the racist EDL- the English Defence League . For those outside of the Uk- the EDL were part of the inspiration behind islamaphobe Anders Breivik's killing spree and they recruit their members from working class football hooligans (though not exclusively) who dont like asians very much. It also has members that dont like any coloured race very much. In fact they dont like anybody very much.

Geller withdrew her support from the anti Islamic EDL when she realised over half of the membership of the EDL were refugees from other neo nazi, fascist, anti Semitic and white supremacist organisations. The EDL like to play down their links with members of the British National Party, Casuals United and others of that ilk but it is full of them. The silly little sausage didn't do her homework on the history and development of far right hate groups in the UK and ended up looking rather stupid.

Geller is a vehement racist, staunch zionist and is a credit to the rag she writes for.

"Although Geller is best known for her invectives against Islam and Muslims, she has often expressed hawkish views on various foreign policy issues, including Iran. In an April 2011 op-ed for the right-wing Human Events, Geller wrote that Iran, not Libya, should have been the target of U.S. military intervention. “[O]ur finest, bravest Americans are risking their lives to fight alongside al-Qaeda in Libya,” she wrote, echoing allegations that al-Qaeda fighters were among the Libyan resistance and falsely suggesting that the United States had sent ground troops. “That’s right, our boys are, in effect, fighting alongside al-Qaeda jihadists and Libyan rebels. Are they forced to pray too? You know, Obama demands that we show respect. Just how far, O?” She added, “[W]e can’t be everywhere, nor should we be. So we pick our fights based on where we can do the most good and remove the biggest evil. Iran should have been the target...

Her pro-Israel, anti-Islam sympathies appear to be partly inspired by her favorite “thinker,” Ayn Rand, a controversial novelist whose ideas—which include celebrating greed and deriding altruism as evil—have been lauded by other public figures, including the 2012 GOP vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan.

Rand once argued that “Arabs are one of the least developed cultures. They are typically nomads. Their culture is primitive, and they resent Israel because it's the sole beachhead of modern science and civilization on their continent. When you have civilized men fighting savages, you support the civilized men, no matter who they are.”[5]

Speaking of the Randian inspired zionist racist Pam Geller as described above- there are some interesting pics here:

Here are some nice photos of her with Mitt Romney, Mitt Romney'senior foreign policy adviser John Bolton and Tommy Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) who is the head of the racist EDL and who has been arrested on numerous occasions most recently for using someone else's passport to travel to the US to meet his controllers.

The head of the ultra right British National Party have accused the EDL of selling out and coming under zionist control though in reality the EDL still has many anti Semitic and generally racist members of the classic National Front variety.

Worldnetdaily loves her as she is the darling of Libertarianism.

Her website is called atlassrugs named after the Ayn Rand Novel.

Who'd have thought English football hooligans can be connected to Rand, Libertarianism and zionism lol?

This is Geller second below with the leader of the EDL. Ironically, most of the thick working class football hooligan members of the EDL have no idea of the larger picture. They just want to beat up a few pakis. If its a conspiracy you want..now you have one F Shocked .

This excellent information on the large tentacle like arms of the nasty grimly gremlies comes from
http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/41048_Mitt_-Romney_Pamela_Geller_EDLs_Tommy_Robinson_Robert_Spencer_and_John_Bolton

The reader should be reminded of the connection between Anders Breivik and Pamela Geller. There is also a connection between Anders Brevik and Robert Spencer. Tommy Robinson’s hooliganism and right-wing extremism is notorious and too extensive to cover here. You can however find many articles covering his organization, the English Defence League, which has been covered extensively at LGF including his connection to Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.

There is no vast conspiracy at play here. However, it should be disturbing enough that the senior foreign policy adviser to Mitt Romney, John Bolton, has the ear of anti-Islam extremist, Pamela Geller. Her connection with the EDL makes this plainly obvious. This my friends is the post-modern conservative movement, where we find odious characters in the Republican big tent whose lives are intertwined; in this case from Mitt Romney to Pamela Geller; Tommy Robinson (EDL), Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller; and most importantly, the close relationship of John Bolton and Pamela Geller.

Geller invited the notorious British anti-Muslim group English Defence League (EDL) to her September 2010 anti-mosque rally in New York. The previous May, a report by the British newspaper The Guardian revealed the EDL as thugs who hold anti-Muslim protests intended to provoke violence. Because of its racism and history, the EDL’s leader, Tommy Robinson, was denied entry at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and sent back to England.

Floyd, I was speaking generally, rather than in specific response to your posts. I tend to be drawn-in by dire predictions which are supposedly going to occur in the near-term. I also tend to fall for fevered conspiracy-theories regarding events which have recently happened. Perhaps enough time has passed, to study the Kennedy Murders, Oklahoma City, Waco, 9/11, etc, Perhaps it is too soon to properly study Fukushima. I sometimes 'like' to read about WWII Nazi intrigue. I can't even begin to imagine what it might be like to be in the middle of a REAL high-profile investigation. I don't think I could do that sort of thing.

In terms of the subject of this thread there is no conspiracy as such as it is an ongoing operation. ie Libertairian / Zionist ideology infiltrating the far right football hooligan and fascist movements and using conspiracy boards to spread misinformation and propaganda for their own corporate fascist agenda in addition to spreading anti Islamic propaganda.

The wider question of conspiracy in general-there are some good books around on that. When I was looking into how some strands of alienism have been used as a front for far right political ideology I found a couple of good reads.

More often than not most conspiracies boil down to political agendas and propaganda IMHO Ox.

Ultra Conservative Spawned Conspiracy Theories. Empty Zionism Libertarians

Post  Floyd Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:40 pm

Now why would a Randian libertarian Zionist supremacist like Pamela Geller have anything to do with people heading the EDL, the English Defense league?

Well the answer is simple.

For a while now British white supremacists and football hooligan organisations have been infiltrated by the above to stir up islamaphobia.

In the gritty northern English towns where there are are large Asian populations, there is plenty of fodder to stir up race hate.

The best propaganda vehicle for this is via working class hooliganism.

Many who join the EDL for the said islamaphobic reasons have no idea to this organisations links with Zionism. They just want to beat up a few local Pakistanis for a laugh. This is not helped with worldnetdailyesque propaganda.

By no coincidence many members of the EDL who are virulently antisemitic because they are neo nazis, are somewhat bemused by the alliances their leaders are making.

The other extreme right hooligan and Aryan groups are not very pleased about the 'sell out' behavior of the EDL and think them as a bunch of Jewish sympathisers. Their own groups, however have been infiltrated, if not stimulated, by British intelligence for years.

But, outside of recent attempts by Zionists to influence race hate groups in the UK and Europe...there is the larger problem of libertarianism being induced into the economic consciousness of the west to serve as a model of financial control by the elite.

There are many enlightening articles on this that can be googled at will.

You will see the thinkers behind it.

So what we should do...is send all these moronic idealists out on a boat to Somalia which, as far as I know, is the last country there was to have no government.

Then I would sit back and watch these idealistic numpties come running back , screaming for their mummies and daddies when all hell broke loose.

Far from defending freedom, the Illuminati created Libertarianism to reflect their Social Darwinian and racial supremacist ideology. With its opposite twin, Communism, they control the dialectic. The efficacy of this tactic is demonstrated by their duping the "Truth Movement."

Its pretty incredible. Can a grassroots philosophy even happen without it being co opted?

I think they dont care what topic points take root as long as its a part and not of the whole.

The money and resources to fund foundations is astronomical. True social engineers...

RE: Zionist Libertarian infiltration of numpty so called far right groups.

Readers will be aware that Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller’s main British allies are the English Defence League/British Freedom Party leadership. The EDL’s “second-in-command” is Kevin Carroll, who is also the BFP’s co-deputy leader. Along with EDL leader/BFP deputy leader Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (aka “Tommy Robinson”), Kevin Carroll was involved in hosting the anti-Muslim demonstration in Stockholm in August 2012 alongside Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, BFP leader Paul Weston, and European neo-Nazis.

Kevin Carroll at Pamela Geller’s “SION” anti-Muslim conference in New York

Along with Yaxley-Lennon, Kevin Carroll was also one of the main speakers at Geller’s anti-Muslim conference in New York on September 11th 2012, a fact that Geller has enthusiastically publicisedon her “Atlas Shrugs” website. Other speakers included David Yerushalmi, who has represented Geller in various lawsuits. Kevin Carroll himself repeatedly made false claims about the current situation in the United Kingdom and continued his long-term behaviour pattern of hijacking Christianity. He previously attended Geller’s demonstration against the so-called “Ground Zero Mosque” in New York in September 2010.

Kevin Carroll’s views on non-Christians

Ironically, in December 2010, Kevin Carroll wrote a number of very revealing comments on Facebook which were posted online on his behalf by Yaxley-Lennon’s PA Hel Gower (multiple screenshots here). In these comments:

1. Kevin Carroll ranted about executing “traitors”, ie. opponents of the EDL.
2. Kevin Carroll continued by ranting about Britain being “a Christian country not a multicultural one”, and he also explicitly described Christianity as “the fundamental culture” of Britain.
3. Kevin Carroll is clearly (mis)using “multicultural” to mean “multireligious” (and similarly, misusing “culture” to mean “religion”).
4. Kevin Carroll ranted about Britain being a Christian country absolutely everywhere.
5. Kevin Carroll explicitly described non-Christians as “pagans”.
6. Kevin Carroll ranted that he will never “bend or bow” to such “pagans”.
7. Apart from confirming the EDL/BFP leadership’s fanatical religious supremacism, Kevin Carroll’s statements also:

a) Confirm their extreme bigotry towards non-Christians in general, not just Muslims, including the various non-Christian groups the EDL/BFP leadership are cynically trying to court as allies against Muslims;

A quote from Geller and how zionist organizations have used British football hooligan groups to stir up racial hatred.

She is awful.

But nobody takes this nut seriously

"Please check out my piece on the EDL (English Defense League) in the American Thinker. After years of floundering and false starts, England and Europe (via SIOE -- Stop the Islamization of Europe) may have finally found their movement for freedom."

This article explains a little about the EDL but what it fails to explain is how many British fascists are non too pleased about the pro Israeli element of the EDL which is a bastard offspring of anti semetic neo nazi groups.

The poor old black haters of the National Front have been turned from old fashioned fascists into islamaphobic nuts courtesy of Randian Zionists like Geller. Thanks Mossad.

"The English Defence League, which started in Luton last year, has become the most significant far-right street movement in the UK since the National Front in the 1970s. A Guardian investigation has identified a number of known rightwing extremists who are taking an interest in the movement – from convicted football hooligans to members of violent rightwing splinter groups.

Thousands of people have attended its protests – many of which have descended into violence and racist and Islamophobic chanting. Supporters are split into "divisions" spread across the UK and as many as 3,000 people are attracted to its protests.

The group also appears to be drawing support from the armed forces. Its online armed forces division has 842 members and the EDL says many serving soldiers have attended its demonstrations. A spokeswoman for the EDL, whose husband is a serving soldier, said: "The soldiers are fighting Islamic extremism in Afghanistan and Iraq and the EDL are fighting it here … Not all the armed forces support the English Defence League but a majority do."

Following the British National party's poor showing in this month's local and national elections anti-racist campaigners say some far-right activists may be turning away from the ballot box and returning to violent street demonstrations for the first time in three decades.

Nick Lowles, from Searchlight, said: "What we are seeing now is the most serious, most dangerous, political phenomenon that we have had in Britain for a number of years. With EDL protests that are growing week in, week out there is a chance for major disorder and a major political shift to the right in this country."

In undercover footage shot by Guardian Films, EDL spokesman Guramit Singh says its Bradford demonstration "will be huge". He adds: "The problem with Bradford is the security threat, it is a highly populated Muslim area. They are very militant as well. Bradford is a place that has got to be hit."

Singh, who was speaking during an EDL demonstration in Dudley in April, said the organisation would also be targeting Tower Hamlets.

A spokesman for the EDL confirmed it would hold a demonstration in Bradford on 28 August because the city was "on course to be one of the first places to become a no-go area for non-Muslims". The EDL has already announced demonstrations in Cardiff and Dudley.

The former Home Office minister Phil Woolas said: "This is a deliberate attempt by the EDL at division and provocation, to try and push young Muslims into the hands of extremists, in order to perpetuate the divide. It is dangerous."

The EDL claims it is a peaceful and non-racist organisation only concerned with protesting against "militant Islam". However, over the last four months the Guardian has attended its demonstrations and witnessed racism, violence and virulent Islamophobia.

During the election campaign David Cameron described the EDL as "dreadful people" and said the organisation would "always be under review".

A spokesman for the Home Office said that although the government was committed to restoring the right to "non-violent protest … violence and intimidation are wholly unacceptable and the police have powers to deal with individuals who commit such acts. The government condemns those who seek to spread hatred."

He added: "Individual members of EDL – like all members of the public – are of course subject to the law, and all suspected criminal offences will be robustly investigated and dealt with by the police."

Yeah right

Who are the EDL?

The sweethearts of Randian Zionist Pamela Geller

I think anyone who supports her or her ideas must be slightly sick in the head

http://www.hopenothate.org.uk/hate-groups/edl/

The English Defence League (EDL) is a racist organisation whose main activity is street demonstrations against the Muslim community. Although it claims only to oppose Islamic extremism it targets the entire Muslim community and its actions deliberately seek to whip up tensions and violence between Muslim and non-Muslim communities.

Many of its protests have resulted in violence and it taps into wider anti-Muslim feeling. What started as a loose network of football hooligans is developing into a new social movement.

The EDL emerged in Luton in March 2009 in the aftermath of a protest by a handful of Islamist extremists at the homecoming parade of the Royal Anglian Regiment through the town.

It now has thousands of supporters across the country. What began as a loose alliance of people around various social networking websites is increasingly turning into an organisation with a national, regional and local structure.

With the demise in the fortunes of the British National Party the EDL is now the largest rightwing threat in the UK today, with over 79,000 supporters on Facebook and the ability to bring anywhere from 100 to 3,000 people out onto the streets.
