Gulf of Mexico : Team action

Friends we are all on the same boat on our dear Mother Earth.

At the moment she is bleeding in the Gulf of Mexico
and from the data we gathered on the oil spill thread the East Coast in the US
is under severe threat of further damage .

I am thinking of you friends from the US who are liable to need
to relocate .

I open this thread so we can gather information as to who needs what.
And see how to organize to help one another .

Maybe we could set up some discussions in the chat room as well .

I have no idea where this may leed but if we work something out as a
team we will probably do much better than if everyone has to face the
situation alone .

Mudra asked me to get a discussion board for something which as it happens was along the lines of my project establishing a network of eco villages.
Its a connections board for people wanting to relocate or form community soon, or move to towns near fellow mistyians, or for people who would like to move but need help. It is not a discussion forum and there will be one topic. Relocation and all that comes with it.
So to avoid disappointment dont join if this community thing doesnt interest you
We are using real names and and places so no nick names or avatars for registration please. This is where you leave cyberland behind.
Because we will be sharing private information it will be a private forum.

I just wanted to say that here in the Pyrenees that sort of thing is become reasonably common. I could help in many aspects if you decide to set one up here. I am on the french side of the ridge but can do both Spainish and French. I did put this on Avalon but to no result. Maybe the mists it is better?

Just over on the Spainish side, right up ion the mountains, there are whole villages abandoned. Houses ready to rock and roll. Very old houses, so eco work already done.I think it would be possible to go with a deal like 1 euro for the town, symbolic. You would have to garantee to renovate the house and build a functioning village that could be open to light work holidays?

Most still have the churches and all. I will say that I believe here to be one of the safe havens. By the messages and my own writings, at a time when I knew nothing of this, 14 years ago. Some of my writings are bang on the money. I didn't do the writings for prophecy, it was a fictional book, nothing more nothing less, Based on a dream I had. Anyway going off the subject, apollogies.

If you are setting it up in the States, it is not for me, but here I would be very interested.

Yes I have a vague memory of seeing this somewhere. Good idea. Im not setting up anything myself, rather offering a platform to allow people to do something themselves, by working with existing eco communities and now Mudras request for a community forum. I didnt really want another forum but Mudra threatned to cover me in peanut butter and leave me stranded in the middle of the Sahara if I didnt set one up for her.
I think its a good idea as long as people react to the forum in a positive manner. If you join then you can put forward the details of your idea and maybe people in Europe or elswhere will start to find it an interesting one.
Its not a forum in ususal sense of the word. Its real people using their real names and locations, stepping away from the mask of cyberland into the realities of opportunity.
Its really down to whether or not people want to talk or do. perhaps now is a good time to do.
