John Major Jenkins is a pioneer of the 2012 movement and a leading voice in elucidating the mysteries of ancient Mesoamerican cosmology. The author of nine books on the subject, he has investigated the authentic sources of the 2012 tradition and has identified the astronomy, prophecy, and spiritual teachings connected to 2012. In reconstructing how the rare galactic alignment of earth, the solstice sun, and the dark rift in the Milky Way was encoded into Maya traditions, Jenkins’ work restores lost aspects of ancient Maya cosmology. In his 1998 opus, Maya Cosmogenesis 2012, Jenkins finds in the Maya Creation Mythology a cyclic time philosophy and a doctrine of World Ages that reveal how the ancient Maya thought about 2012. Contrary to the modern media’s obsessions with doomsday, and the countless inventive models flooding the marketplace, 2012 is about transformation and renewal.
John “Eesawu” Kimmey. It is curious how an odd idea from an obscure source, long unknown, ignored, or considered irrelevant, suddenly emerges to general public notice. The idea itself cannot alone account for its sudden spread and wide acceptance. Nor can the media which report it. Relevant though it may be, an idea first requires a fertile ground in which to take root and grow. And this must be the unconscious level of those who at last find in it something akin to their own deeper feelings.

Daniel Pinchbeck.
"In the twentieth century, psychoanalyst Carl Jung realized 'the reality of the psyche,' the interconnection of mind and world, the psychic and the physical, expressed through synchronicities and other occult correspondences. Jung understood that a deep transformation of the human psyche was underway. According to Jungian theorist Edward Edinger, we are currently experiencing the 'archetype of the Apocalypse,' a term that has familiar destructive connotations but that is also defined as 'revealing' or 'uncovering.'
Llyn Roberts, M.A., is a prominent teacher of healing and shamanism. She was introduced to the lore of 2012 in the early 80's upon learning of the parallel legend, "Shambhala", while studying Tibetan Buddhism. Then, after she and her son almost died during childbirth in 1991, starry intelligences relayed to her a profound message which she compiled into a book. The Good Remembering - A Message for Our Times (O-Books) is a compassionate, experiential guide to navigating the shifts in consciousness coinciding the time period within which we now live.
Richard Tarnas, Ph.D., demonstrates the existence of a consistent correlation between planetary movements and the archetypal patterns of human experience. He examines eras such as the cultural rebellion of the 1960s and the French Revolution, the world wars, September 11 and its aftermath, bringing us up to 2012 and beyond.
