09:12 22 SET 2011 - (AGI) Washington - It is highly likely to fall at sea but NASA says some debris of the 6 tonnes US satellite 'Uars' might fall on Italy as well. The US space agency says some of them should fall down on the 23rd of September around 22h. This is what comes out of the trajectory analysis drawn out by NASA. It shows that the Satellite usually flies over the Italian regions of Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Liguria. . .


CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) -- A dead 6-ton satellite is getting closer and closer, and is expected to smack down on Earth on Friday.

NASA's old research satellite is expected to come crashing down through the atmosphere Friday afternoon, Eastern Time. The spacecraft will not be passing over North America then, the space agency said in a statement Wednesday evening.

The predictions should become more precise by Thursday afternoon and certainly by Friday.

"It is still too early to predict the time and location of re-entry with any more certainty," NASA said.

An estimated 26 pieces - representing 1,200 pounds - are expected to survive.

NASA is anticipating a splashdown rather than a landing. Nearly three-quarters of the world is covered with water. The Aerospace Corporation in California, in fact, predicts that re-entry will occur over the Pacific late Friday afternoon, Eastern Time. But that's give or take 14 hours.

The 20-year-old Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite will be the biggest NASA spacecraft to fall uncontrolled from the sky in 32 years.

It is expected to break into more than 100 pieces as it enters the atmosphere, most of it burning up. The heaviest metal parts are expected to reach Earth, the biggest chunk weighing about 300 pounds. The debris could be scattered over an area about 500 miles long

Satellites like rocket stages and various parts and pieces fall all the time and burn up. Occasionally pieces of one or another make it to the ground and are found. It’s rare though. There are four more large objects coming down within the next month: the 2-ton-plus ROSAT satellite, Atlas Centaur, and SL-3 R/B and the Ariane Spelda.

This will add more junk to an already polluted Earth not counting the many debris of such objects that are already polluting our skies and that were paid for by our money .

Well, well, well.... look at this.

NASA just disclosed the UARS satellite could hit the east coast of the U.S. late tonight or tomorrow. In an ever-changing scenario, NASA now say that a decaying UARS satellite could impact the eastern United States sometime late Friday or early Saturday. Because of variability in the satellite's rate of descent, pinpointing exactly where it will fall will be difficult until the final two hours, according to NASA and other sources monitoring the satellite's descent.

The probabilities of an eastern U.S. impact are low, but if the satellite re-enters the Earth's atmosphere at a slightly later time than predicted, the debris field could include the eastern U.S. Latest estimates place the time of re-entry at about 9pm. Friday, eastern time.

This reminds me of the U.S. bombing the Moon! You'd think they'd just use one of their fancy beam weapons or ufo's to deal with this thing before it re-enters Earth's atmosphere. Or, perhaps every satellite should have a bomb onboard to destroy them before they become a danger. I have been both critical and supportive of the Vatican, the Secret Government, and the Underground Bases. The real-estate, art, libraries, archives, etc. are of unimaginable value, and the world should benefit from it, and enjoy all of it. I simply have a problem with what seems to be a corrupt and violent union of church and state -- but a completely reformed solar system might retain many key aspects of the current Vatican, Secret Government, and Underground Bases. I've most recently been thinking about a United States of the Solar System, centered in the City of London, networking with the Underground Bases, the Church of England, the Secret Space Program, the United Nations, the Vatican, and Washington, D.C. But this would be a non-secretive, non-corrupt, non-violent sort of thing. But I don't know if this would be possible, or even if the Galactic Powers That Be would allow it. Now I'm going to watch another exciting episode of 'Dr. Who' as I await the End of the World.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- NASA's dead six-ton satellite fell to Earth early Saturday morning, starting its fiery death plunge somewhere over the vast Pacific Ocean. The two government agencies say the 35-foot satellite fell sometime between 11:23 p.m. EDT and 1:09 a.m. EDT. NASA said it didn't know the precise time or location yet.
