Re: Flowerpot Fridge
Thanks Brook!
I remember some stories from my grandma.
There was no problem to have an ice cubes for drinks during summer period. During the winter people used to brake huge ice chunks and place the ice in the deep hole layered with pine tree branches. Ice cubes had always fresh taste and available any time year around. I can imagine with liquor gin.
Carrots were stored in the boxes filled with sand. Boxes filled with sand and carrots hidden in the sand.
Special tobacco was smoked inside around the house after cleaning the house to give fresh herb aroma.
Horse carriages had platform under the base for heated in the fire rocks to stay warm while traveling long distances in winter.
