McCain associate invokes Fifth Amendment on Trump-Russia dossier: report

An associate of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) invoked the Fifth Amendment in order to not testify before the House Intelligence Committee on a dossier of opposition research that claims ties between President Trump and Russia, according to Fox News.

The committee originally issued a subpoena for David Kramer — a former State Department official and current senior director of the nonprofit McCain Institute — in December. Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) had wanted to speak with Kramer about his visit to London in November 2016, during which he met with the author of the dossier, former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele. According to court filings, he met with Steele at McCain's request, to view “the pre-election memoranda on a confidential basis."

Kramer then traveled back to the U.S. and gave copies of the memos to McCain, who in turn handed the documents over to the FBI. The committee interviewed Kramer last month prior to issuing a subpoena for him. The dossier was contracted out to opposition research firm Fusion GPS and funded in part by Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Barack Obama’s legacy was already on thin ice after many of his signature programs were dismantled during President Trump’s first year in office, and concerns over bias emerged within the Department of Justice.

Now, another blow to the 44th president’s White House tenure has come to light. While the bias concerns at the DOJ continue, another scandal regarding impartiality is gaining momentum, but this time it’s within a federal agency called the Chemical Safety Board.

A House investigative subcommittee is directing the EPA to investigate one of the officials Obama appointed while in office, after anti-lobbying laws were allegedly violated and the liberal ally tried to influence decision making in Washington.

“Chemical Safety Board (CSB) member Rick Engler worked with union activists to promote a grassroots campaign to keep the agency from losing its funding,” reported The Daily Caller in May of 2017. “Engler’s emails further raise concerns about the CSB’s impartiality.”

The CSB dates back to the 1990s, and is set up to investigate industrial chemical disasters within the United States. That obscure agency has been on the chopping block since Donald Trump took office, however.

“President Donald Trump’s 2018 budget proposal eliminated the CSB. Congress ended up funding the CSB, but Trump’s 2019 budget plan again calls for eliminating the CSB,” explained the Caller in an updated report.

Since the story first broke last year, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has dug deeper into the claims of illegal lobbying by the Obama appointee, and that inquiry just took a very serious turn.

But shamelessly, despite this historic intelligence failure and the World Trade Center terrorist attacks that ensued, Mueller later led an effort to drum both Special Agents Wright and Vincent out of the FBI, in part by attempting to remove their security clearances, as a “reward” for their candor.

They took Flynn down due to Mueller known links to the radical cleric and the Clintons.

The targeting of Mr. Flynn through consolidated Obama Whitehouse leaks and one-sided media attacks began six months prior to the Special Counsel appointment. It started with an editorial penned by Mr. Flynn on November 8, 2016, when he became the first public official to unabashedly expose the radical cleric long protected by multiple government agencies- the CIA, State Department and FBI, starting under President Bill Clinton’s administration:
