Hey Bob , i was looking for your electric car thread but cant find it ... I wanted to post about the Fisker electric car so if its ok ill do that here.

Some of the design ideas i put forward in the other thread have been taken on in this car ie compartmentalised electrical generation for their particular circuits.

This car has solar roof that powers only some of the minor circuits , the rest is in the url ill post here.

It has a whopping 640 km range ! which is approx 400 miles for the people who have not yet come into the 21st century.

It looks great and as per Ayn Rand's business model , if its not hampered by government it will reduce the cost of the already over inflated cost of the Tesla.

this is history in the making ! GM and FORD Tesla and Fisker ( name could be better i guess )

    anyway heres the url

Everybody wants to see that extended range but last I saw anything from Fisker, the report was that it was still under development and not in production.  Personally, I would like to see a 500 to 600 mile range where the car can do an average speed of 65-75 mph..... and a price range starting at 15,000. I have to go back and look at the posted web site.
    Thanks for the post.

Some great new technology is coming and may rapidly change the world.

The future is in electricity charge stations. Instead of fuel stops a magneto ( inductive ) wireless under carriage system with car pads you park on. No wires needed. Eventually these will replace parking spots. Instead of the city charging for parking they BILL YOU FOR CHARGING. sorry caps lock

Why not go one step further and build the charge right into the road ways ! the wiring is already there and road/ electric companies can charge you by the road. Your car will have an uplink which meters the charge in take. If your car is low on charge you enable the uplink and it charges your car as you drive on the road and you are automatically billed.

Sort of like the road in I robot with Will Smith.

eventually you will be able to get the energy right out of the air as Tesla intended.

The technology exists inside your toll tag , inside a toll tag is an inductive system to charge the battery with electricity at the toll gantry.

If you were to get hold of a toll tag you could quite easily reverse engineer it and scale it up.

20%.  That's what wind and solar needs in order to become more independent.  When 20% of what is produced is stored in a backup storage system, we will no longer need nuclear power plants.  This is an excellent video that explains Flow systems, thermal, weighted, and compressed air and other new systems that are being developed in order to store electricity. The move is away from lithium-ion due to economic reasons and concerns over a fire.

This video is 4 months old and we have yet to hear from Elon Musk. He is supposed to have big news on what everyone is referring to as Battery Day. We will see.
