I just finished the novel “We” by Yevgeny Zamyatin, set in the 32nd century, which describes a Brave New World/1984ish dystopian/BigBrother/hive mentality society; it presents the premise: “There is no final revolution. Revolutions are infinite”.

Re: Best Reads
Loved this one...and the sequel . «A Dweller on two planets» by Phyllos. A book channeled in the beginning of the 19 century about a man who lived on Mars and Atlantis.
A Dweller on Two Planets was "channeled" to FREDERICK SPENSER OLIVER (1866-1899) at his Northern California home near Mount Shasta over a period of three years, beginning when he was seventeen. The true author, according to Oliver, was Phylos the Thibetan, a spirit and one-time inhabitant of the lost continent of Atlantis. Oliver claimed not to have written any of the text, asserting here that he was merely transmitting that which Phylos revealed to him. In fact, professed Oliver, the manuscript was dictated to him out of sequence (much of it backward) so that he could not interfere with the outcome. In this classic of new age and spiritual literature, Phylos describes in rich detail the culture, politics, architecture, and science of Atlantis, as well as its demise. He addresses karma and reincarnation, and predicts technological innovations in the 20th century that match and even exceed those of Atlantis. Supporters maintain that many of those predictions came true. Read for yourself and decide. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Magnetic reversels and evolutionary leaps
Robert Felix is the author of Not By Fire, But By Ice and founder of Ice Age Now, one of the biggest climate sites on the web. In our first show on climate change, Robert delivered a chilling forecast that demanded a reconsideration of the official climate story. Now, he’s back to discuss the findings that underscored Magnetic Reversals & Evolutionary Leaps, a study in the relationship between climate, pole shifts, and the evolution of species.

Re: Best Reads
One Second After by William Forstchen
It is one second after an electromagnetic pulse attack on the United States, and America is changed forever. William Forstchen gives us a glimpse into a future that is too frighteningly real and possible, leading us through the breakdown in civilization and the deaths of thousands as we follow the plot through the eyes of a professor and military veteran at a Christian college in a small North Carolina town.
I read this book and was very depressed and how stupidly the characters behaved in this as it was clear the author has no real graspe of how to deal with disaster from a public health perspective.
One prime example was just in disposing of bodies which should have been done through cremation for these reasons.
1. Why does anyone want to waste human energy when there isn't much food to go around to dig holes for hundreds who have died.
2. They took land that should have been used to grow food and turned it into cemetaries.
Next
3. Outsiders were viewed as expendable because they would use up food rations rather then viewed as a resource just in labor to help create gardens for future food sources. Those who did have food were cooking up all the frozen meat rather then smoking it so it could be rationed and used in stews and soups when food was scarce. Also they viewed animals (horses) as food rather then as a valuable resource (manure for gardening) and transportation.
4. The outlook of the prime character was one of a military perspective as compared to a humanitarian. His daughter was diabetic and needed meds for survival. Yet there is no good info on how to deal with diabeties from a wholistic perspective. As I have relatives with this disease I've seen them change diet to help maintain health. This book could have been used to help educate many people but only illustrated the worse case scenario.
5. A lot more could have been done with respect to creating effecticve communication systems.
Of course, in disasters those people elected into office don't often make the best leaders as they are not trained on what to do, or how to organize resources understanding everyone/everything is a resource.

I haven't read that book of Jose Arguelle Troy. However I dedicated a thread to that wonderfull being .
He passed away last year leaving behind an beautifull contribution of pure Love to humankind.
He organized the Hamonic Convergence event of 1987.
He is also the deviser and promoter of what he called " The Law of Time " based on his understanding
of the mathematics of the Mayan calendrical mathematics. From this he made a distinction between
" mechanized time " based on the gregorian calendar and " natural time " codified by the Maya.
You'll find several videos featuring him here :

Narcissists:
*are not aware their thought patterns are inappropriate
*think about themselves without taking the perspective of others
*believe they are unique and special (they have something you don’t)
*think of themselves in highly positive ways
*are self-important
*fantasize about power and fame
*feel entitled to have whatever they want
*exploit people's 'weaknesses and vulnerabilities'
*are indifferent to other people’s needs (callous)
*overrate their intelligence (exaggerated belief in self-importance)
*are focused on maintaining power and control
*perceive themselves as superior to others
*manipulate, manipulate, manipulate
