Very cool...what is he playing? It looks like a twelve string.....but it's awfully small....strange looking instrument.

Yep Anderson plays a variety of odd guitars that most guitarists dont use!Brook wrote:Floyd wrote:Ive just put a better version up. Happy days. Listen again.

There is clearly a market for them.
On his latter tours he uses midi guitar. Which is fine.
It looks like some sort of compact 12 string. But its mimed anyway.

Re: The Music Lounge
A Song for ' Ascension '
Perhaps
[center]Somewhere beyond the sea
somewhere waiting for me
my lover stands on golden sands
and watches the ships that go sailin'
Somewhere beyond the sea
she's there watching for me
If I could fly like birds on high
then straight to her arms
I'd go sailin'
It's far beyond the stars
it's near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
my heart will lead me there too
We'll meet beyond the shore
we'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
and never again I'll go sailin'
I know beyond a doubt
my heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet (I know we'll meet) beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
and never again I'll go sailin'
no more sailin'
so long sailin'
bye bye sailin'...
move on out captain

Sailor stop your roaming
Sailor, leave the sea
Sailor, when the tide turns
Come home safe to me
As you sail across the sea
All my love is there beside you
In Capri or Amsterdam
Honolulu or Siam
To the harbor of my heart
I will send my love to guide you
As I call across the sea
Come home to me

This is a bad video.
I could not find a better version.
However.
I went to see this concert live in Liverpool last year with and old friend.
And we are old soldiers, No?

Old Soldier alright Floyd!
Those were the days of Liverpool versus Borussia Mönchengladbach in the old European Champions Cup.
Liverpool then was the nemesis for Borussia, the same as Ajax Amsterdam was the nemesis of my lifelong team Bayern München!
So dont remind me about this one ok?

The Loneliness of the Old Soldiers with their Hearts Betrayed!
I see you Floyd!
But then the sentimentals of
become the 'Mists upon the Waters' and the Smoke of the Forgetfulness and the 'fading away' of the nightmares of unrequited loves from the heart!
And my darling daughter Debbie shares her birthday with Elvis!
January 8th, 1935 - August 16th, 1977
January 8th, 1982 - December 8th, 2004
She will be 30 Years 'old and young' on Sunday, January 8th, 2012
30=BABY=ARK=BIBLE=BREAD=EAGLE=PEACE
To Our Darling GrandDaughter, Daughter, Sister and Friend !
Nanna Sylvia's GreatGrandDaughter and Nanna Cynthia's GrandDaughter
Now you find yourself where you said you wished to be;
with Bob and Mary and your baby you now suddenly can see.
So pretty and demure, a tender butterfly you've now become;
your past sorrows and pains vanished, forgotten, all but done.
Allow the love of your surroundings to give you mind of peace;
like a snowhite dove, you have crossed the troubled seas.
We are always with you dearest Debbie, time cannot hold;
across the worlds of separation, we travel on ever so bold.
To be in a body is not all there is for the spirit to know;
the soul remembers its home, where it longs to be without a foe.
The Living are Dead and the Dead are Alive, as Jesus said;
so we all bid you Hello and not Farewell as words instead.
Hello darling Debbie; we all love you and try to share your peace and joy!
Dad, Mum, Richard, Christine, David, Adam, Cassie, Lynell, Gordon, Sandy and friends!
