What a wonderful idea and easy solution to green energy.

I am wondering if this concept has been introduced in countries like Mexico? If not, how can we give them this information? All of the tin roof homes there would be so much improved by this lighting method. Also, I am wondering if the millions of thatch roof homes could be built with these coke bottles installed as part of the construction? When the roofs are put on, the secret to keeping the rain out is that the thatch is layered and layered with no openings at all. Hmmm. It would add so much to the quality of life there. I suppose they could lay down the thatch after the bottles are put into the structure. This is fabulous. To have light inside your home...when you didn't before. I can't even imagine. Linda

I am wondering though is the bleach in water and plastic is'nt toxic when heated up like ?
That would be an inconvenient side effect .

I was thinking of even using something like coke, beer or wine bottles for the sides of cement homes that let the light in. I've seen something like this used in earthship homes where they get a variety of different colored bottles to make designs that let light in.
