Is there any possibility of receiving notice of the friends request we get without having to go in our profiles and check by our own ?
I did send several to people here that are left pending in their basket .
They obviously are unaware of it it seems :(
Check your "friends and foes link " Wink

I will see if I can set it up to where We'll receive a PM when It occurs.

BTW - Went in to Mine and approved all of them...

Hi mudra.. I didn't even think to check that until you mentioned it and you're right.. there is no notification, one has to check manually to see what is there.

    Hello Starmoonmtns ,

Sorry to hear you lost your friends .
Have you gone through the entire members list to make sure they are not registered here ?
We encountered admin problems with the Invision forum where the previous Mists were hosted and I heard not all the members could be contacted through mail anylonger to let them know of the change .
Maybe you can still leave them a message through PM in the old Mists .
If any of them are on PA2 you could arrange for a message to be delivered to them there .
We have members here that are on both forums .
Or you can check with Carol or Mercuriel they may be able to help you .
In any case I just wish you a good time here and to make many new friends .

    Love from me

Hello, is it a good idea to have a foes list? How do we rise above duality with that possibility being one angry click away? Or am I just being overly cautious? I would like to suggest that we are all either friends or not-foes. Once that foe door is opened, it is difficult to close. Can't we all just get along?

I would never even think of using that foe list Linda .
It has become impossible for me to think in terms of enemies versus friends . Makes no sense at all friend requests 871182

    Hi linda,

The friends and foe list come with this software program and there isn't much we can do about it. Once we are in our new website I'm not sure how that will look either. We'll just have to wait and see.

Okay, Carol, I figured as much. It's a leftover from the Old Age, the age of division. That's going to happen a lot until we can update every old mindset, and program, to our New World. Of course, there are always people like me who just Have to state the obvious! Apologies.

It is there for Us to have the ability to NOT see another Member's Posts or Threads and while I see Your Point - Conversely - Shouldn't the Choice also be there for a Member to do so but yet - Its hoped that Members will come to terms with others enough so as to not use It ?

    Wink

Choice was always the Crux. It was just lost in Irresponsible Misunderstanding of It's Concept - On purpose BTW...

We seek to rebalance this Concept - Yes ?

If so - We must Govern Ourselves for the Highest and Best Good of All Concerned in All Things without the need of another to Govern for Us. Anything else - Is Us in denial...

Simply put - You have the Choice, and We leave it up to You to do...

    Heh heh

    Yes Seashore .
Mercuriel is unable to go through all boards here and read them daily.
Running this forum is'nt a full time job for him .
We can always count on him when important issues arise though.
Use PM is you want to be sure to reach him.
I still have myself a long list of pending friend requests.
I think some people here just forget to visit the " friends and foes " section of UCP
or did'nt even realize such a section exists.
PMs are still really the best way to reach people on this board.

You could also PM Mercuriel! (You asked the question on the board first. LOL!)

Also, does a private message pop-up window show when one logs on, making a private message more noticeable than a friend request, or do you have to go looking for your PMs, too?

    Oh dear. HINT, HINT, HINT

Seashore, this program is so different then what we've used in the past that I for one rarely check the Friends link and often even forget how to access it. I'm such a dweeb at some of these simple techie thingys. lol!

Well Seashore Mercuriel already answered me on this thread way back then.
I think if it was a quick and easy fix he would have done it straight away.
You may not be aware of this as you were away but for your information ,Mercuriel has had a family issue to attend for many months. That was much more important to give support to in my eyes than these notifications issues and I must recognize I even forgot about the matter until you bumped the thread lately.
This board is just different than the way PA was set so we just have to bear with it and
adapt . I got used to it really .

I certainly would'nt would that particular issue still have been going on at this date Seashore.
Sorry if I did'nt make it clear .
