embedded videos

Most of my embedded videos taken from " embed code " don't work any more .
And I can't post new ones like that either.

OK .. well here for example Mercuriel :

I could embed the video by pasting the link found in the browser in the video icon of my add a message box .
But if I just paste the embed code it does 'nt embed it as you see below the vid .

So for vids I find in youtube , dailymotion or google video , it's not a problem .
It becomes a problem when the embed code only is available . The type of vids you find on news articles for example or the vids I post in " movies for reflection " thread that are long ones .
Before I would take the embed code and paste it in the add message box and the video would show up in my post . Now I can only see the code itself but not the vid .
On the movie for reflection thread many of the vids I posted turned into codes : http://www.themistsofavalon.net/best-reads-f42/movies-for-reflection-t608.htm#10869
I can only give the link to the vid now but can't embed it anymore.

Sorry that was me.

A few weeks ago I had to turn of some forum features to enhance the security of the forum. One consequence of this is that embedded html is no longer parsed as it was originally.

I really don't think we should turn it on again - and there are alternative methods of embedding video that I think Merc explained.

My thanks to one of our members to alerting me to the problem in the first place.
