    Praying Medic 10/25/24 Update

    With nearly half a million early votes in, registered Republicans have a 35,000 vote lead.

    Early in-person voting in Florida shows a 25 point advantage for Republicans.

    Despite the talking heads screaming constantly that a Trump presidency is literally the end of the world, Dem voters, who survived 4 years under the first Trump administration, aren't buying it.

    Kamala doesn't inspire voter enthusiasm, and it seems Ds will be content to let DJT have 4 more years.

    Nevertheless, cheating is a thing, so we should expect a battle after Nov 5th.[/i]

    Trump is really taking it to the Central Banking Cartel

    He’s going further and further against taxes - now talking about eliminating income tax for millions of people (setting the stage to expand that to everyone)

    I’m so excited for the next 4 years

    than 10.6% behind the Dems statewide. Today we are 7.4% ahead — a net swing of R+18!

    - Republicans are crushing Democrats in early In-Person voting over 5:1.

    - Republicans are still ahead in Maricopa by about 15,000 votes. This is MASSIVE.

    - Here's an even better sign: Historically, this has been the week that the GOP has closed ballot deficits with Dems in AZ. If this pattern holds, Republicans should increase their advantage.

    - Every County except Pima is doing better for Rs than 2020, and Pima is behind a few days. Yuma, Navajo, Apache, Mohave, Yavapai are crushing it in rurals compared to 2020.

    - Cochise, Maricopa, Pinal and Gila need to work harder, which we're working on, but Dem energy in these counties is depressed from previous cycles.

    - Total ballots cast to date are way down from 2020, a bad sign for Democrats if Republicans can continue GOTV this week.

    Keep going everyone. Keep the energy up, keep chasing ballots, keep bringing friends and family to the polls. Sprint through the finish line!!

    Why Vote Early?

    One reason for voting early (this year) is that Trump's campaign opted to contact people who have not yet voted and encourage them to cast their ballots.

    As more people vote early, the list of non-voters shrinks, making it easier for the campaign to contact those who have not yet voted.

    A second reason is that Democrats have, for years, used early in-person and mail-in voting to their advantage.

    The long-term goal is to get us back to voting on election day with a paper ballot that is hand-counted at the precinct level.
    If Republicans demonstrate that we can leverage mail-in and early in-person voting to our advantage, we may get Dems to agree to return to one-day voting.

    ==

    Left leaning Wall Street Journal's latest poll has Trump +3 nationally.

    Kamala's lead in the RCP average is now down to + 0.2.

    If the trend continues, Trump is likely to win the popular vote.

    If he wins the popular vote, it will be an Electoral College landslide.
    ==

    Nevada is polling as the bluest of the swing states, but early voting is dominated by Republicans.
    ==

    In North Carolina, Republicans have a slim lead in early voting.
    ==

    In 2020, Democrats had a 14-point lead over Republicans in early voting. Republicans are keeping it close this year.
    ==

    Historically, the RCP average ends up being left of the actual popular vote by about 3.5 points.

    Kamala is currently 0.2 points ahead of Trump. That predicts Trump winning the popular vote by 3.5 points.
    ==

    The above forecast for Trump winning the popular vote by 3.5 points is supported by the third quarter Gallup survey placing the US electorate at R + 3, which is an 8 point Republican swing from 2020, when it was D + 5.
    ==

    In Nevada, Republicans are on track to win the state by 3 - 5 Points. North Carolina will likely go red by about the same margin.
    ==

    The 6-8 point rightward shift is not limited to swing states. Virginia, New Mexico, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and other blue states will be closer than expected.

    Trump is on track for a 312 electoral college win and 3 point popular vote victory.

    ==

    Most polls still show Kari Lake as a 6-7 point underdog to Democrat Ruben Gallego for the AZ Senate seat.
    I suspect the polls are off the mark.
    Here's why:

    1) AZ early voting is going harder for Republicans than pollsters predicted.

    2) Despite the Republican lead in early voting, Dems are actually turning out in slightly higher numbers as a percentage of their electorate, which means there are plenty of Republicans who will vote on election day.

    3) The Arizona electorate has swung to R+8 this year, according to party registration records. It seems pollsters have yet to adjust their sampling for this change.

    4) Trump is on pace for a big win in the Grand Canyon state, and I don't see Trump voters choosing Gallego.

    5) Dems placed an abortion proposition on the ballot hoping it would bait Dem voters into turning out, but that effort seems to have failed. Because...

    6) Kamala is not inspiring Democrat voter turnout. Dems do not see this as a life and death election, and Republicans do. That's why conservatives are turning out in record numbers in the swing states.
    ==

    Here's a look at the RCP polling data for Kari Lake and Ruben Gallego going back to the second week of September.

    Pollsters with the best record of accuracy (Rasmussen, Trafalgar, and Atlas) have Lake consistently at 2-4 points behind Gallego.

    (With most polls, 3 points is considered to be within the margin of error.)

    For the first time ever, Donald Trump is not trailing in the RCP national popular vote poll. This morning, he erased Kamala's lead. The race for the popular vote is now tied.
    ==

    The RCP average typically ends up 2-3 points to the left of actual election results. Thus, a tie in the RCP average predicts a popular vote win for Trump by 2 - 3%.

    A popular vote win of 2 - 3% predicts an Electoral College victory of 312 or greater, where 270 is needed to win.
    ==

    In North Carolina, Republicans expand their early vote lead.

    Early vote leads for Republicans are important because the Democrat voting model is based on early voting. They don't have a game plan to turn out large numbers on election day.
    ==

    In the latest Virginia poll, Harris leads Trump by one point.

    (The margin of error is 3.6)
    ==

    If Trump picks up Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Nevada, he would not need Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan or Arizona.

    It's the best path to 270 if cheating becomes a problem.
