An OBE is like moving through the outer layers of perception. There are different kinds of OBE and so no two people are going to be able to describe what an OBE is in the same way. At least that is how I see it.
Example:
Or standing at front door staring at someone that is also standing at their front door staring at you. At first thinking, who is that and then you realize it you! It has a similarity to a mirror but there is no physical mirror 'in between'. There is just a court yard in between.
Would you classify the above example as a part of an OBE or something else? And if something else, why?
Lol! Oh Joe, what will I do with you.
I gather that you have not read the book yet? It's a good book (Out-of-Body Adventures). It goes into lots of detail about all the 'different levels' of the OBE. The explanations are very straight forward - what to expect and so forth. From my own previous OBE (and lucid dream) experiences, I could relate again and again to what was said in the book. Not limited to this book, I've read/heard about other people's OBE/lucid dream accounts and shared a few words here and there with them... There are many commonalities. After all, the machines (human bodies) we are using to have these OBEs seem to follow the same blueprint so that means any and all experiences we have in these bodies will have commonalities.

Curious... the timing, don't you think? I didn't expect it. This happens a lot to me so I'm not surprised, just amused by these... confirmations.
