All right, since I have a forum named after me I suppose I should post somethin.

I'm playing a Fantasia by Luis De Narveaz (1500-1550 or so)

He is one of my favorite composers of all time all though this particular song is perhaps not his most accessible.

Great! Love the music. Love the interpretation. I wish I could play like that. I actually listened with my Sennheiser HD600 to not lose a detail.

I love music for guitar from Spanish composers of that era. Why is it that most of the serious music for guitar comes from Spain? Is it in their genes?

I think it's great that posting our music is encouraged. When I registered at PA there was a social group about music and composers. I started a thread there to listen to our music but the group was deserted I think. I remember you were there and Zeddo and a couple of others. But no one actually posted any music to listen to. Thank you for the idea and for a glimpse of yours!

    Thanks Metaw3.

Yah im not exactly sure why there is more lute music from spain then elsewhere but my guess is suppression. Dowland is proof that we should have a lot more european lute music from that era as he certainly wasn't the first, the last, or the only lute player. A lot of the music from before 1600 has been destroyed or lost.

Yah I remember that Bach thread at AV, forgot about that group though.

    Fantastic, Bravo

I loved how you held possition as the last sound had its chance to completely clear the air and the feeling to fade before comming back to the camera. Its obvious you "feel" the music as much as perform it ( i can't even use the term play here as it doesn't fit).

Iysun, beautiful playing. I honestly would consider having a brain chip if it meant I could play some serious guitar. Sigh, I guess some of us just have to be the audience.
Good thing I can dance though, it's really how I experience music the best.

The spanish guitar thing intrigues me also, so much intensity and sustained passion. So much dark and light.
Whenever I get the chance to go to Spain I try and visit the Alhambra, I experience an overwhelming soul memory of a time of great beauty in all the arts . The downhill road from the site leading to the town of Granada has a few discrete guitar makers workshops . I always wish I possessed the skill to be able to walk inside one of those compelling and almost hidden doorways and spend a few hours choosing a fine guitar I could actually play.

Iysun did I miss something? How is it that this forum is named after you? Since you play like that of course it's fine with me, Just curious.

you play absolutely beautifully. Spanish guitar is my favorite kind of guitar music. It has such a full bodied sound. You do the craft proud. This song, in particular, surely is reminiscent of the courts of Europe. Thank you for posting. I could listen all day.

Thanks for your kind words everyone.
Dancing is indeed just as great, I hope one day to improve my dancing.

Spain sounds like so much fun im jealous..., I know what you mean about soul memories. one of the reasons I love to play older music is because of all the memories it seems to well up inside.

The forum was named after me because it was my idea, so it was as a joke.
But my name is Iysun not Isun so really its not named after me anyways lol.

C'mon man, you're dancing with that gorgeous guitar.
I hope you get to Spain. They have built it and you should GO!
Spain isn't paradise by any means ( too much new chock-a-block building and appalling air quality especially in Granada) but the music and "duende" would be right up your alley, and chances are there will be a guitar shop on it.

    Lovely performance Iysun .
I enjoyed listening to you very much while watching the delicacy with which you handle your guitar. A true love story .
It's a great feeling to have artists aboard sharing their talents.

This is incredibly beautiful and you're amazingly talented. I bet you spent many, many hours practicing in a state of altered consciousness.
